Finnish artist and lighting designer (MA) Tuomas Honkanen (born Jämsä 1995) works with presence, shaping spatial and temporal experiences.

In his work, light is a material that transforms over time. His practice is grounded in wandering – being with spaces, bodies and phenomena. His interest lies in presence, interaction, and shifts in perception – from the subtle to the total. He is particularly interested in moments when something feels inevitable.

He has worked in theatre, dance, live music, circus and light art in Finland and internationally.
